Every typeface we create emerges from careful research into genuine narratives and historical artifacts—from protest signs and newspapers to symbols from pivotal global movements, such as the Civil Rights Movement in America to the Tiananmen Square protests in China. By thoughtfully embedding these histories into each design, we aim to honor the communities they represent and bring their stories forward with authenticity and intention.

Tré Seals is a designer whose passion for creativity and storytelling is rooted deeply in personal experience and a lifelong connection to design. Growing up, Tré found himself inspired by art, drawing constantly and nurturing an enduring curiosity about the ways visuals shape perceptions and understanding. This early exploration laid the groundwork for his commitment to design as a powerful form of expression and communication.
The idea behind Tré's practice was sparked during a pivotal moment in his career, when he noticed how design often lacked diverse perspectives and representation. Realizing this absence, Tré dedicated himself to creating work that authentically reflects and celebrates diverse cultural narratives.
